After watching the Fulton High School boy’ basketball team play the last few weeks, it would be fun to photograph some of their district play for my birthday.
We traveled to Westphalia, Mo, to watch them take on the Fatima High School team, expecting to see our boys dominate. They have had a series of great showings lately and are an aggressive team.
Unfortunately, the game didn’t end up going as planned.
They were fighting hard, but something was just different about this game. I could share my thoughts on the refs, the other team, and our team, but I’m no coach.
I’m sad I didn’t watch them play more this year, but I hope the team will return with a vengeance next year. They are losing some of their star players (who doesn’t like watching two teammates take turns dunking), but I know the game can look different next year and still be a good team.
